When the world feels like it's collapsing on my shoulders and I struggle to take a breath, all I have to do is look at my three beautiful boys who make everything okay.

A Mothers Guilt

Walking towards the gate to the childcare centre, a little hand starts pulling back, pulling back towards the car where he felt safe. Tears start rolling down his face. He wants to be with his mum, the person who has been with him everyday of his life since he was born. He doesn't understand why he has to go to a place surrounded by people he has never seen before. He is taken from his mums arms where he felt protected. Taken by a stranger that is now holding him and saying that he will be alright. He doesn't understand that mummy will be back. All he knows is that she is leaving him. He watches as his mum with a tear in her eye walks away without looking back because it's easier for HER not to. She regrets not looking back. He goes to this place once a week to give his mummy a break. But is it really a break when all she can think about is him and all he can think of is her?

At what point does a mothers guilt ever stop?
